Primary Network to Offer New 10 MB Ethernet-based Internet
Access
St.
Louis (October 12, 2001) -- Primary Network, one of the
Midwest's leading corporate Internet service providers,
recently announced plans to offer a new Fiber Optic based
broadband Internet access platform. The product, called
e-port, is a Gigabit Ethernet based Internet access product
which utilizes a technologically advanced, fiber optic
network to connect businesses to the Internet. A powerful
suite of services accompanies this product including a
fully managed firewall; network monitoring, off-site file
backup and storage, as well as, virtual private network
capabilities.
The
e-port technology will allow Primary Network to offer
10 mb ethernet based Internet access to customers for
as low as $500.00 per month.
"Utilizing
the latest optical Gigabit Ethernet technology will allow
business to have a fully managed 10 MB pipe to the Internet
which will eliminate the need to use the public switched
telephone network," said Doug Reineri, Sr. VP of
sales for Primary Network. "Expensive bandwidth,
long order intervals and data transmission bottlenecks
will become a thing of the past," Reineri went on
to say.
Primary
Network continues to focus on accelerating the delivery
of innovative products, services and solutions to small,
medium and large businesses in metropolitan St. Louis
and Kansas City. The e-port metro fiber platform affords
Primary Network the ability to eliminate common local
loop providers in delivering high-speed connectivity.
This is a great benefit for businesses that do not want
the frustration of managing multiple providers.
